Digital Technologies BTEC 90 Credit Diploma Level 3 at The Manchester College

Course description

Taking a wider look at the computing industry as a whole, this Level 3 course is ideal for anyone who wants to develop a broad range of skills across a number of different digital technologies and topics, from computer games to digital graphics, networking to web development. Programming will form a central part of the course, as you learn all about website and application development – using CSS, HTML and C# - for both desktop and mobile devices. You’ll also develop the skills necessary for the design and implementation of computer networks and the system security to go with it. Spending time on computer game development and the creation of digital graphics, as well as analysing and designing systems yourself, you’ll learn where your strengths lie and develop real-life, problem solving, marketable skills to help you succeed in the digital world.



Financial information

The majority of assessments for this course will be project-based, testing out the skills you have been learning. These could include tasks set by us, or live briefs provided by our employer partners!

      Openshaw is a suburb of east Manchester, a short bus ride from Manchester’s city centre. Openshaw Campus is built at the heart of the community with an open plan design and attractive green space and water features. Sportcity and the City of Manchester Stadium are close to the campus. Sportcity has a number of sports venues and fitness and sports facilities for the public. There is a 14-screen cinema five minutes away by car or 25 minutes on foot.
