You will study a variety of subjects including:
Working in health and social care
Personal care for adults and children
Leisure activities for adults and children
Creative activities for adults and children
Managing your health at work
Promoting healthy eating
Physical care of children aged 0–3 years
Self assessment and positive attitudes
You will also learn about job opportunities in the sector and take part in work experience in a care setting as well as improving your English and maths skills.
You may have the opportunity to study for the Personal and Social Development qualification.
2 GCSEs (E–G) or Entry Level 3 qualification, an interview and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Further study can include:
You can continue your education with a Level 2 course in Early Years or Care. With further training and study you will have the ability and the skills to work in an Early Years or Care setting.
