Economic forces shape our lives and the lives of those around us. They affect the choices we make as individuals and as a society. Economics helps you to understand our society at a local, national and global level. It is an academic A Level highly valued by universities, but also a subject that deals with vital matters concerning all our daily lives. For many students, an in-depth knowledge of Economics is the foundation for successful high profile careers in politics, finance and international business. Economics is also useful to those who wish to go on to study any of the Social Science subjects including Politics, International Relations, Government, Sociology, Marketing, History, Business and Management. As a Social Science, A Level Economics blends well with all subjects.
