Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate at Coloma Convent Girls' School

Course description

The Extended Certificate is for learners who are interested in learning about the performing arts sector alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in performing arts. t is designed to be taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels.

Entry requirements

6 GCSEs including Maths at Grade 4 or above, English Language at Grade 4 or above, and a further 4 or more subjects at Grade C or above (or Grade 4 or above). This pathway will usually involve two A levels and a BTEC course. Candidates must have Performing Arts GCSE at Grade B or an equivalent in order to study this subject. Candidates with a Grade 4 in Maths or English Language will be expected to continue their studies in these subjects with the aim of retaking and achieving a minimum of Grade 5.
