Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Patisserie and Confectionery at HTP Training

Course description

Apprentices who are undertaking the Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Patisserie and Confectionery must have at least nine months experience of working in the hospitality and catering industry or completion of a level 2 Apprenticeship in hospitality and catering - food production and cookery or professional cookery.

Advanced apprentices can work within the Hospitality and Catering industry as a Pastry Chef, as this course is a specialisation within the Professional Cookery sector and is assessed around the specific elements of being a competent patisserie chef.

Advanced apprentices may be able to progress in their careers to the role of Sous Chef or ultimately Head Chef. The options for further and higher education for Advanced apprentices, with support and opportunities in the workplace range from a Foundation Degree in Culinary Arts to a Foundation Degree in Hospitality Management.
