Catering and Hospitality - Apprenticeship Level 2 at KYP Training Services

Course description

The context of your qualification will depend on the environment you are working in, eg, Food and Beverage, Silver Service, Front of House, Indian Cookery. You will cover aspects of cash handling, health and safety and customer satisfaction.


  • Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality and Catering
  • Employer Rights and Responsibilities
  • Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 1 (unless you already have GCSE A*-C)

Course content

How will I learn?

Off- the- Job – this involves working with your assessor, completing assignments or activities and collecting work evidence. These will enable you to fit your learning activities into a set of standards which have been designed by the industry.

On-the-Job – this means spending at least 4 days a week with your employer learning how to do the job with support and direction from your employer.

Future opportunities

Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality and Catering, the opportunity to progress into roles with additional responsibilities e.g. Supervisor, Front of House Manager, Housekeeper (etc) depending on the context you are working in.
