English Literature - AS Level at William Hulme's Grammar School Academy

Course description

Students who complete the A2 after a two year course will have studied in depth a minimum of 8 texts, including at least one play by Shakespeare and will also have covered a range of texts in different genres and periods. Some of the texts will undoubtedly be challenging due to their subject matter and style, but what is important is that students approach the subject with an open, curious and active mind. A course in English Literature is about thinking as an individual, but also being prepared to have those thoughts challenged. You will be finding out about society and finding out about yourself.
