Course description

Retail Skills Apprenticeship (Intermediate and Advanced) What does the Retail Skills Apprenticeship cover?

The Level 2 and Level 3 Retail Skills Apprenticeships cover a wide range of skills that can be applied on a variety of retail environments.

It’s suitable for small or large retail businesses, ranging from independent shops and market stalls, through to large chains of stores or supermarkets.

What will my day-to-day job be as a Retail Apprentice?

The role you do can be as varied and as wide-ranging as the businesses mentioned above.

So it will depend on your employer and size of the business, but as an example you could be working on the shop floor assisting with sales and customer enquiries, being creative with displays or merchandising, or dealing with stock levels and ensuring the store is set up as it should be. It really depends on the type of store, the size of the store, and where your passion lies.

The Advanced Level Retail Apprenticeship (Level 3), will see your training focus on specific skills in your preferred area. From this you will also be given more responsibility, including developing management skills.
