Course description

You will develop your thinking and communication skills to a high level which is particularly valuable for jobs within the professions, such as management, teaching, law and the media.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s grade A*-C including English and Mathematics.

Must have studied GCSE French and achieved a minimum of a B grade.

 

Assessment

Year 1 - AS

Unit 1- (20%) 12-15 min topic and general conversation

Unit 2 - (30%) 2 1/2 hours Listening, Reading, Writing exam

 

Year 2 - A Level

Unit 3 - (20%) 15-20 min structured discussion and expose

Unit 4 - ( 30%) 3 hours Listening, Reading, Writing exam (Guided Studies Essay)

Future opportunities

There is a wide-ranging number of career opportunities available, including air steward, translator, interpreter, and working within the European Parliament, to name just a few.
