Media Studies at Torquay Girls' Grammar

Course description

Now housed in the spacious facilities in The Manor, Media Studies offers and enviable working environment purpose designed for digital recording and editing facilities with AppleMac computers. As the course progresses, it is hoped that students develop critical understanding of the media through engagement with media products and concepts and thought the creative application of practical skills. The depth of work will give students a sense of expertise in the topic areas of film production, magazine distribution, and contemporary Media debates online and in the press.

Entry requirements

You do not have to have previously studied Media Studies. You should however, have at least GCSE grade B in English and English Literature. If taken at GCSE, grade B or higher is favourable.
