The course will concentrate on Roman History.

Entry requirements

An assessment of suitability for an AS-level course will be made by interview, together with information about ability, effort, expected performance at GCSE and suitability for an AS-level course.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Ancient History, which could lead onto higher education in areas of ancient history, history, archaeology or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Ancient history or general history such as a Historian, Archaeologist or History Teacher. You could go straight into employment as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification and will also help you to develop the basic skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across all industries are looking for.
