Engineering - Fabrication and Welding Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at PETROC
The framework ranges from academic college assessment's and vocational assessment in the workplace. This ranges from introduction to work through ERR, Health and Safety fundamental knowledge, skills and practice in fabrication and welding engineering disciplines.
These courses are designed for individuals who are in employment in an apprenticeship role. The framework includes the NVQ (vocational assessment), the technical certificate, functional skills (for those who do not hold the required GCSE grades) in numeracy, communications and ICT, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PTLS) and Employees Responsibilities and Rights (ERR).We recommend you buy scientific calculator, memory stick (USB), an A4 folder, dividers and general stationary.
You must be employed in the relevant industry. Grade C in English and Maths, plus three other GCSE qualifications at grade C or above, alternatively an appropriate/relevant and completed Level 2 apprenticeship.
A range of assessment methods are used throughout the course which varies from on-line tests, assignments, practical tasks and observations.
To a level 4 apprenticeship or Higher Education qualifications including HNC or Foundation degree.
Fully equipped machine workshop - lathes, grinders, milling machines, CNC machines and welding systems. Networked computer suite with modern software and Internet access.
