A Level Mathematics at The Boswells School

Course description

The AS or A Level Mathematics course to be followed over one year or two is the specification offered by the Edexcel examination board. The official title and course number for AS is:
Edexcel Advanced Subsidiary GCE in Mathematics (8371)
and for A Level:
Edexcel Advanced GCE in Mathematics (9371).
Text books being used are Heinemann Modular Mathematics text books which exactly match the specifications of the course.
For AS Level, 3 modules (Core 1, Statistics 1, Core 2) and for a full A Level a further 3 modules (Core 3, Mechanics 1, Core 4).

There are two teaching groups following the same scheme of work in Year 12 and each group will be taught by two teachers.

Entry requirements

grade A at GCSE is the minimum requirement for starting the course
