Geography at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form Free School
Geography is built around two main themes:
* Human geography deals with how people and the environment interact and the way we both exist. It also looks at how people and groups move and live in the world around us.
* Physical geography is all about the scientific processes that drive our geographic world, with an emphasis on how humanity can manage them. Topics that you will explore include: Rivers Floods and Management, Population Change, Coastal Environments, Energy Issues, Weather, Climate, World Cities, Development and Globalisation, Fieldwork Methods.
Our entry requirements are in-line with other local providers. To study with us you will need to have an average of at least 6 grade Bs at GCSE, (including grade B’s in any subjects that you wish to study at A level that you have already studied at GCSE.) We are aware that there may be special circumstances that mean that you won’t achieve this level of results. We do sometimes reduce this minimum standard under such conditions - please do get in touch.
