Theology A-Level at St Mark's West Essex Catholic School

Course description

Theology is a subject that explores the relationship between humans and faith. It considers ultimate questions such as ones about the existence of God, the nature of belief, ethical issues and general ideas about morality. This is a recognised qualification for entry into Higher Education and can be combined with a wide range of other A-Levels. It can be used as a foundation for a wide range of degree courses and may lead to careers in Law, Politics and employment in the caring professions. This is an ideal subject for you if enjoy engaging in discussions and debates that focus on the ethical issues of our contemporary society. During the course you will be encouraged to develop your own point of view informed by the theological teachings and literature by which it is supported.
