Environmental Studies AS/A2 Level at Upton-by-Chester High School

Course description

Students will gain a well-informed insight into the environment, and the scientific processes that control and affect it. It is a subject which investigates the causes and effects of major topical threats to our planet.

It will appeal to you if you have ever wondered….What makes planet Earth so special – how did life get started here and how does it keep going? Is wildlife important, and if it is how can we conserve it on an even more crowded planet? What is global warming, should we take it seriously and can we do anything about it? Are there too many people on our planet?

Entry requirements

Preferably GCSE B in Environmental Science/Dual or Triple Science. However, students with a grade C on Higher tier will be considered on an individual basis.
