Psychology at Ormiston Victory Academy

Course description

Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour. At AS level students will research the topics of Memory, Attachments, Stress, Social Influence, Abnormality and Research Methods. At A2 level students will apply the knowledge gained at AS to the topics of Biological Rhythms and Sleep, Intelligence, Aggression, Phobias, Addictions and Further Research Methods.


100% exam based. Students at AS and A2 will sit modular exams in January and June. AS results gained are worth 50% of the overall A-Level grade achieved

Entry requirements

Seven grade Cs or above at GCSE level including English and Mathematics. Bs are required for the Sciences, English, Humanities and Languages
