English and Maths GCSE Re-sit at Kenton School

Course description

Students who achieve a D in English or Maths at GCSE
will have to continue with these subjetcs in Sixth Form.
The first opportunity to re-sit is in November, with the
results published in January.
In order to give students the best opportunity to pass in
November, we will be holding compulsory after school
English and Maths classes, in addition to the 5 hours
per fortnight curriculum time.
Should students achieve a C or better when they
receive their results in January, they will no longer need
to attend re-sit lessons.
Those students who do not achieve their C in the
November re-sit will be expected to attend compulsory
after school sessions in the months leading up to
Summer entry.
We are fully committed to giving our students every
opportunity to achieve this important milestone.
