Mathematics AS/A-Level at Shire Oak Academy

Course description

Mathematics is a 2 year modular course still following the legacy specification. Students need to complete 6 modules to obtain an A level pass.

Students must be prepared to work independently and take responsibility for comprehensive note-taking throughout the course. They need to be organised, determined and positive.

Entry requirements

Students should have obtained a grade B or above at higher level GCSE and be from set 2 or above.

Future opportunities

A qualification in Mathematics is recommended for careers such as banking, accountancy, engineering, management, science or computing.
