Single 3 Units

Unit 1. 2D and 3D Skills

In which you will investigate, explore and respond individually to a given starting point.

Unit 2. Communication and Meaning through Visual Language

A module of both practical and written content content.

Unit 3. Preparing and W orking to a Brief

Externally set assignments.

Double 6 Units

Unit 4. The Creative Process

Externally set assignment.

Unit 5. 3D Design

Investigating and exploring materials to create 3D objects.

Unit 9. Fine Art

This unit provides an opportunity to explore and develop fine art ideas using your down creative expression, inventiveness and imagination

A2 Level

Single 3 Units

Unit 10. Professional Practice and Progression - Externally set assignment.

Unit 11. Decorative Imagery

This unit explo explores decorative imagery and provides an opportunity to develop your skills in your chosen area (textiles, sculpture, jewellery, fine art, photography)

Unit 17. Fine Art Specialisms

In this unit you will be able to apply a personal approach to producing a series of fine art ideas.

Double 6 Units

Unit 13. Spatial Design

You will learn how to apply spatial design ideas within a vocational context such as: interior design, theatre set design, landscape and environmental design.

Unit 16. 3D Design Crafts

Investigating design and craft areas such as jewellery, ceramics, furniture design, textiles / mixed media.

Unit 18. Textiles

In this unit you will investigate textile process such as, textiles as art, textile, design for accessories or clothing and soft furnishings.

Entry requirements

The minimum requirement for a GCE AS/A2 course is 6+ grades A*-B at GCSE or equivalent. For a student to study at GCE AS/A2 a subject that they studied at GCSE they must have achieved at least a grade B in that subject at GCSE where the subject requires previous study
