GCE AS Level Photography at Queen Elizabeth School

Course description

Over the course students explore photography as a traditional and alternative medium. AS Photography has two assessed units: 1. Coursework Portfolio - this unit gives the opportunity to explore a range of photographic processes and approaches to making images. You also learn to analyse both your own work and the work of others in contemporary, historical and cultural contexts. 2. Controlled Assignment - this unit is a formal examination. You have to devise a personal response to a theme in a set preparation time for a five hour exam.

Entry requirements

GCSE passes in five subjects with grades A - C, including Art, plus an interview and reference.
