French A Level at New College Nottingham
Studying a language can open up gateways to experiences and careers all over the world. French is spoken by 77 million people and is an official language
in 29 countries including: Canada, Switzerland, Madagascar and the Seychelles.
If you’re interested in working abroad, or in a career with international travel, studying a language will give you a great advantage.
This course will allow you to build on your existing language skills and explore the culture and society of France. Topics include: (AS Level) development of language skills: listening; reading; speaking and writing development; topic study; (A Level) further development of language skills; topic study.
You’ll need 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English Language and Maths and a grade B in French.
You’ll take a combination of written and spoken tests.
You could progress to a related higher education course such as languages, business, international affairs or teaching.
