Food Technology and Management FDQ Level 3 at Bishop Burton College

Course description

This course will develop your food technology skills and knowledge in areas including nutrition, food biochemistry, food testing, category science (e.g. meat / dairy / baking) and food technology processes such as heating, sterilising and packaging. In addition to completing a period of work experience, you will have the opportunity to work towards additional certificates in health and safety, food safety and risk assessment.

Two different pathways are available, dependent on your qualifications.

  • One-year Diploma
  • Two-year Diploma.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade C or 4 or equivalent, preferably including English and Maths, or a relevant BTEC Level 2 / First Diploma or equivalent. One satisfactory reference is also needed.
