Advanced Subsidiary in Mathematics with Statistics at Cockermouth School

Course description

Four lessons a week of Core Maths, focusing on algebraic techniques, trigonometry and calculus. Two lessons a week of statistics - using maths to solve statistical problems.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE's A*-C. Mathematics ideally grade A at GCSE.

Assessment

At the end of the first year, 2 Core and 1 Statistics units are assessed. At the end of the course, 2 Core and another Statistics unit are assessed.

Future opportunities

Business, Economics, useful for biological sciences.
