Children & Young People's Workforce Level 3 Apprenticeship at Havering College of Further and Higher Education

Course description

In college you will complete the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Children's and Young People's Workforce
  • Award in employment responsibilities and rights in Health and Social Care;
  • Functional Skills in maths and English.

Entry requirements

Apprenticeships are for anyone over 16 years of age, whether you have just left school or if you want a change of career. You also have to be employed in the sector in which you which to gain an apprenticeship and your employer must be willing to support you through this qualification.


You will be assessed in the workplace and you will build a portfolio of evidence. There will be assignments and worksheets that will be given out when in college and these will form the basis of your portfolio.

Future opportunities

You may wish to apply for a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.
