Pure Mathematics 1 – Quadratic functions, Coordinate geometry, Sequences & series, Trigonometry, Exponentials & logarithms, Differentiation, Integration, Vectors
Pure Mathematics 2 – Quadratic functions, Coordinate geometry, Sequences & series, Trigonometry, Exponentials & logarithms, Differentiation, Integration, Numerical Methods
Mechanics 1 – Kinematics, Forces and Newton’s Laws, Moments
Statistics 1 – Sampling, Data presentation and interpretation, Probability, Statistical Distributions, Statistical hypothesis testing
Grade B or equivalent at GCSE level. All grade B or equivalent students will be expected to attend an additional weekly booster programme
An A Level in mathematics is very valuable as a supporting subject to many courses at A Level and a much sought-after qualification for entry to a wide variety of courses in higher education at degree level, especially in the sciences, geography, psychology, sociology and medical courses.
