Course description

Sociologists want to understand how society works. If you are genuinely interested in people and the society you live in, this is the course for you.

• Power and control
• Exploring social inequality and difference

Entry requirements

Minimum of four Cs and two Bs at GCSE which must include a grade B in English Language or another written subject.

Future opportunities

Sociology is a respected academic subject and excellent preparation for higher education. It also provides many of the thinking and interpersonal skills required in today’s employment market. It has particular value for careers in a wide range of areas from law to personnel management.
