Graphical Communications (Art Validated) at The Sixth Form College Colchester

Course description

Graphical Communications is a practical subject that develops the ability to appreciate the commercial visual world and to respond to it in a personal and creative way. Students will be studying the subject of visual communications using a range of graphic techniques, including print, sketching, presentation drawing and extensive used of CAD (Computer Aided Design).

On the course students learn how to express ideas confidently in a visual form and understand how their work fits into the history of art and ideas. AS Graphical Communications can be combined with other Art and Design subjects and can also be taken with AS Product Design (Resistant Materials).


Entry requirements
