Information Technology Apprenticeship (Level 2) at Heathercroft Training

Course description

IT has become a vital part of the management and operation of most businesses and, ultimately, of most job roles.

An Apprenticeship in IT could take you into almost any industry as companies of all types need people with strong IT skills.

The level 2 Apprenticeship will give you the necessary skills to perform a variety of work assignments – with some guidance and supervision. You will be expected to know and understand the practical and theoretical aspects of the work. The range of possible activities you may be involved in is vast but is likely to include the use of a number of software packages (e.g. Spreadsheets, Word Processing, and Graphics Design). You may also be involved in the development or maintenance & support of computer systems, networks or databases. 

Course content

Knowledge based units

A Level 2 Diploma in Professional Competence in ICT and Telecoms Professionals. you will need to complete Core Skills and Optional Units to the value of 48 credits

Future opportunities

Advanced Apprenticeships, which can follow on from Apprenticeships, can lead to an HNC, HND or Degree-level qualifications.
