Entry requirements

A strong Law student is interested in the world around them and keen to understand why society works in the way it does, because law regulates society.  They’re curious, open-minded, logical, hard-working, committed, and friendly.  They like solving problems and don’t mind writing essays!

Future opportunities

Not all KGV Law students go on to study law but over 50% choose to do so, studying at a wide range of universities.  For the last three years students have been successful in being offered places at Cambridge University to study law and other popular destinations include Kings College, London, the University of Durham, the University of Leeds and the University of Liverpool.  Many of these students go on to qualify in the legal professional and are currently practising as solicitors and barristers.  Other students have gone on to become teachers, nurses, police officers, psychologists and doctors!

Further information

You will have the opportunity to see court cases in action during trips to the Old Bailey, the Supreme Court and the Crown Court. New for 2015, we have partnered with the University of Law and Fletchers Solicitors to develop our Lawyers of Tomorrow enrichment programme. This partnership will allow students to meet and be mentored by practicing lawyers and even undertake work experience at a local firm of solicitors.  This will be supplemented by visiting speakers and trips to local universities, developing essential skills for budding Lawyers.
