Mathematics A Level at Franklin College

Course description

Year 1 In your first year you will study pure maths, this builds on existing knowledge in algebra and trigonometry and introduces new skills in the study of calculus. You will also study an applied module in statistics which will support the mathematics you use in many other subjects. This is the traditional A Level course suited for mathematically able students with good algebra skills. Year 2 In your second year you will further develop your knowledge of pure maths and study an additional applied module in mechanics; the study of force and motion.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs grades A*-C or equivalent to include Maths at grade B or above.
