Advanced Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care at Acacia Training & Development Ltd
Each Apprenticeship consists of a mix of qualifications chosen by the sector to best develop the skills required for career progression. For the Advanced Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care the following qualifications make up the framework: QCF Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, functional skills in English and Mathematics at Level 2, an Employers Rights and Responsibilities workbook, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. Once your Apprenticeship is complete, you will have gained experience as well as formal qualifications and transferable skills, so your career prospects will be greatly improved. Adult social care is a growing sector, and one that offers increasing opportunities for progression; many apprentices go on to take up management and leadership roles
The Advanced Apprenticeship is relevant to existing workers who wish to progress from the Intermediate Level. If you are already working in the social care sector, you can speak to your manager about the possibility of starting an Advanced level Apprenticeship in social care, as part of your career development
Advanced Apprentices build on their previous experience in the sector allowing them to gain experience in skills at a more supervisory level. You will probably have progressed from a level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an Intermediate Apprenticeship.
