Physical Education A Level at St Peter's Catholic Comprehensive School

Course description

Healthy living, fitness and the opportunities offered by sport are constantly highlighted in the media. Sport is big business and plays a major role in keeping our society healthy! Studying A level Physical Education aims to give students both the theoretical knowledge that underpins the world of sport, and how this is applied in a practical context. All students will have the opportunity to develop their personal performance and to sharpen their coaching or officiating skills, both within their teaching group and with younger students and teams.

Entry requirements

  • A regular commitment to a sports club (as a performer/player/coach/official).
  • Grade B GCSE PE.
  • Grade B or above in additional science if you have not studied GCSE PE/Btec Sport.
