Geography A Level at St Philomena's Catholic High School for Girls
This course takes an issues-based approach to Geography, with emphasis on skills, fieldwork and a holistic understanding of human and physical processes including water and carbon cycles, landscape systems, globalisation and global development.
Grade B GCSE Geography
Maths (C grade or above) and English (C grade or above) are both required
- Unit 1: Dynamic Landscapes (Tectonics, Coasts)
- Unit 2: Dynamic Places (Globalisation, Regenerating Places)
- Unit 3: Physical Systems and Sustainability
- Unit 4: Human Systems and Geopolitics
Geography is a diverse subject that lends itself well to almost any career. The study of Geography at University is a sound foundation for a career in Law, Marketing, Finance, the Not-for-Profit sector, Environmental Consultancy and Travel.
