Through workshops, lessons and a range of projects you will get hands on experience of using industry standard equipment to record, sample and create your own music. You will work with other learners to explore different genres and create music/sounds. You will also develop an understanding of key aspects of the music industry, such as contracts, royalties, licensing and promotional activities.
Students should have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above. These ideally should include grade C in English Language and Maths, or a level 2 qualification in a similar subject. Entry is subject to a satisfactory interview and workshop assessment.
You will be able to progress to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology. Alternatively through work experience and external projects some learners are able to gain employment in the industry.
