Dance at Bridlington School Sports College

Course description

At AS you will learn about the dancer in training, processes of choreography and the significance of a range of professional dance works. You will perform in a group dance and choreograph and perform a solo dance in response to a question.

At A2 you will choreograph for a group and perform a solo in the style of a chosen professional choreographer. You will study a period of dance history in detail and a chosen professional dance piece.

Entry requirements

5 A*- C GCSEs (including English and Maths

The course is split between practical dance work and written analysis to support your development as a performer and choreographer. It requires a candidate who is committed to dance and interested in extending their knowledge about dance. You will be expected to work independently with motivation and organisation.
