Course description

Chemistry is about the materials that make up the world around us.  This course is an in-depth study of topics such as atomic structure, moles, bonding and periodicity; foundation physical and inorganic chemistry; an introduction to inorganic chemistry and thermodynamics.  You will build practical skills that will be transferable into higher education.

Entry requirements

GCSE grade B in Chemistry or Double Science.

GCSE grade B in Maths is essential.

Future opportunities

Chemistry is a required subject for higher education courses such as medicine and dentistry.  It will provide access to well-paid careers in pharmacology, forensics, medical research, accountancy and law.

Graduates in Chemistry related subjects are highly regarded and highly employable.
