IT Software Application Specialist Apprenticeship Level 2 and 3 at Bridgwater College
Apprenticeships provide an integrated programme of learning leading to the skills, knowledge and business understanding required by employers. These courses are for apprentices employed in the computing industry or those who use ICT as a key part of their role. The Computing & ICT team at Bridgwater College is in regular contact with companies which may have vacancies. An employer contribution may be required for learners over the age of 19. You will need to be highly motivated, self-disciplined, with a demonstrable passion for computing and ICT.
Our IT department at Bridgwater College is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and provides the highest quality teaching and learning for apprentices. We have proven expertise in the management of work-based learning and can combine on and off the job training, with dedicated support staff. Apprenticeships offer the first step on to the employment ladder, giving young people a chance to learn from professionals, with a hands-on practical approach to achieving qualifications.
Bridgwater College Apprentices have access to the full range of support and facilities that are offered. This includes:
- Tutorial support and guidance as well as individual support from the Training Officer

The offer of an apprenticeship is given after a successful interview and employer placement for the apprenticeship. You need to have a keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn new skills that will make you an asset to your employer.
These Apprenticeship programmes consists of a range of assessments with the focus being on controlled assessments either on-line or through timed practical activity.
