Environmental Sustainability at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College

Course description

Are you concerned about the impact of human populations on our environment? Issues such as climate change, deforestation, pollution, damage to ecosystems and extinction of species make the headlines daily. Do you want to gain the knowledge and understanding which means you can become part of the solution rather than the problem? If the answer is yes then you should consider this course.

This course is an ideal first step for those who see a future employed in the emerging environmental monitoring or technologies industries or the conservation of ecosystems and wildlife and so may particularly interest students of other sciences or earth sciences: Geography, geology, chemistry, biology or physics. Equally it will give breadth to any programme at AS and many universities welcome this: particularly valuable for future primary school teachers, politics and law students.

Entry requirements
