IT Users (ITQ) (QCF) Level 1 Diploma at College of North West London (FE)
Our computer courses are available at a range of levels and for learners with differing abilities. Our Microsoft Office packages focus on learning a variety of software packages; ideal if you want to work in an office environment. If you are more interested in hardware and networking we have a number of courses and dedicated workshops that will help you to develop your skills. We have specialist equipment if you have a disability or visual impairment. Language support is also available if English is not your first language.
You will study a range of units and you will learn how to use the internet, how to design software, how to use multi-media software, and how to use mobile IT devices. As part of this course you will also be expected to do work experience, which will be arranged by the College. You will need to achieve total of 37 vocational credits and 13 Work Skills credits to progress to the Level 2 BTEC First Diploma in IT.
You will need 4 GCSE grades E-F or equivalent. You will need English and Maths skills at Entry 3. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. You may also be asked to complete a piece of free writing or a vocational assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course.
You will be assessed by assignments and portfolio work.
