Examination: 84 marks: 50% (2 hours) Textiles 3
Coursework: 85 marks: 50% Textiles 4

Course content

The courses consist of two units which make up the A2 component of the A Level course:

Entry requirements

Students must have completed AS Textiles before embarking on the course. A pass grade at AS is required to progress to A2.


UNIT 3 - assessed by a 2 hour examination
The unit is divided into 3 sections:
Section A - Materials and components
Section B - Design and Market influences
Section C - Processes and Manufacture
Unit 4 Coursework - Coursework details including time to be spent:
The assessed coursework consists of one major design and make project consisting of a design folder and accompanying product(s
