French A-Level at Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy

Why study French?

With 29 countries claiming French as their official first language, an A level in French opens up a wealth of opportunities. You will develop confident, effective communication skills and a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where French is spoken. The study of French also develops an interest in and enthusiasm for language learning, and encourages students to consider their study of the language in a broader context. Not only is France a popular tourist destination for British people, but its close proximity means that more and more employment possibilities are becoming available there.
