Course description

  • Paper 1: Compulsory unit. 
    1.5 hours. Further Pure Mathematics. 
  • Paper 2: Optional Unit.
    1.5 hours. Further Mathematics Options
  • Paper 1: Compulsory unit. 
    1.5 hours. Further Pure Mathematics 1
  • Paper 2: Compulsory unit. 
  • 1.5 hours. Further Pure Mathematics 2 
  • Paper 3: Optional unit. 
    1.5 hours. Further Mathematics Options 1. 
  • Paper 4: Optional unit.
    1.5 hours. Further Mathematics Options 2.

For the optional modules, students will chose from Further Pure, Further Statistics, Further Mechanics, and Decision Maths. A final decision on the specific optional modules to be taught is subject to student uptake demand.

Entry requirements

7 GCSE’s at grade A*–C including English and at least a grade A/grade 7 in Mathematics.

Assessment

Examination.

Awarding Body = Edexcel
