Course description

Investigate key periods I Modern History and develop your passion for the past. Course content

You will work with primary sources in all units of this A Level to develop your skills as a conscientious historian. Regular visits to the Houses of Parliament, Churchill War Rooms and Victorian Workhouses will develop your understanding of the past through real experiences.

Entry requirements

APS 40 and 5 GCSEs at grades C or above including English and mathsat grades C/5 or above History or another humanities subject atgrade B or above.

Assessment

This is a linear subject which means they are examined entirely at the end of year two, although in some cases you will be entered for the AS exam at the end of year one. You may want to consider choosing a mixture of linear and non-linear (modular) subjects.
