Creative Writing at Trinity Catholic College

Course description

If you enjoy the creative process of writing, drafting and redrafting, finding the best ways to express your ideas, then this course is a great opportunity for you to explore your craft. If you enjoy reading and discussing the ways that writers shape their thoughts and ideas, then this is a great course for you to discover new writers and their work. If you enjoy creating newspaper articles, travel journals, fiction, poetry or dramatic scripts, then this course will help you to develop your skills as a writer.

Creative Writing at Advanced Level is a new course from AQA and Trinity Catholic College is pleased to be able to offer it to you as a way to build on the creative elements of your work in Key Stage 4. It allows you, as an aspiring writer, to explore and hone your skills in a supportive, creative and friendly environment.

The course combines well with any subject at Advanced Level and will complement the study of either English Literature or Language.

Entry requirements

Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above including English Language at Grade B. It is helpful to have studied English Literature at GCSE but this is not a course requirement.
