Unit 1 will focus on three specific social contexts;

Language and power

Language and gender

Language and technology.

Unit 2 is a coursework unit in which you will develop your language skills by writing in different genres for different audiences and purposes. You will reflect and comment on your own writing in order to develop as conscious writers who understand and can account for the language choices you make.

A2 - In unit three you will study child language acquisition and language change.

Unit 4 will be a language investigation of your own choice. This will enable you to benefit from independent

study, collecting date and evaluating your own finding
