Chemistry A Level at Vandyke Upper School and Community College
During the first year of the course, you will study the Development of practical skills in Chemistry, Foundations in Chemistry, Periodic Table and energy and Core Organic Chemistry.
During the second year of the course, you will study the Physical Chemistry and transition elements and Organic Chemistry and analysis.
There is a small degree of overlap with Biology (amino acids, proteins, chromatography, buffers, PH, catalysis) and Physics (atomic structure).
Two grade 6's at GCSE in Triple Science or Combined (Trilogy) and Grade 5 in Maths.
Candidates complete a minimum of 12 practical activities. The A level is covered by 3 examinations.
