Health and Social Care Extended Diploma Level 3 at City of Bristol College

Course description

You will study a wide variety of health and social care topics. You will also develop your study skills and carry out a research project. We will also make sure that you have the maths, IT and English skills that employers want. You will have the opportunity to resit GCSE maths if required.

Course content

Course modules include: • Sociology • Anatomy and physiology • Safeguarding • Psychology • Human development • Equality, diversity and rights • Communication • Caring for children and young people.

Entry requirements

• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language, maths and Science • BTEC Level 2 Diploma in a related course at merit grade • Two good references Learners must achieve a grade C pass or above in year one 90 credit diploma before progressing to year two Extended Diploma.

      College Green Centre is home to our Sixth Form Academy, with around 1,200 full-time students studying vocational qualifications. There are also around 400 A Level students based here.
