Course description

Economics is a subject highly regarded by both University and Industry due to its academic rigour and its relevance to our society, country and world. It is firmly based as a subject and taught by reference to the world in which we live and in particular the UK Economy.

Economics prepares students for many varied career paths both in Academia and Industry. Due to its relevance it is accepted as an excellent foundation for careers in Finance, Insurance, Banking, Trading or more generally in professions such as Accountancy, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Business Operations.

It opens a broad range of options for students intending to progress to University. BCHS has a long standing reputation for delivering a course that enables students to achieve their target grades and progress on to study the subject at some of the country’s best Universities.

Entry requirements

Students must have at least grade B in the subjects chosen for study

AND

Must have at least grade C in English.
