Product Design: Textiles A level at Woldgate School and Sixth Form College

Course description

The course encourages independent learning, creativity and innovation. It provides wide opportunities to develop your capacity to design & make innovative textile products of increasing technical demand. Students develop skills in pattern drafting, the use of CAD including laser work, embroidery and print. This A Level offers clear progression route to diploma and degree courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing, Costume Design, Textiles Technology, Surface pattern design and Interior Design. Previous students have been highly successful in securing places in Higher Education and have studied at leading Universities in this field in the UK and abroad.

Entry requirements

It is advised that students intending to study this course should have previously studied GCSE Textiles and achieved a grade B or above. Students who have successfully completed GCSE Product Design or Art will also be considered.
